Non-Executive Director job description

Our multi award-winning organisation is a pioneer of services for older people, creating vibrant village communities and specialising in supporting people to live well with dementia.

We are looking for a high calibre individual to join our Board as we continue to develop our model and expand geographically beyond our base in the North West.

Belong provides a ‘home for life’, supporting people on their journey with a range of services from home care, through independent living apartments to 24-hour care in specialist households, including nursing and dementia support.

Whilst experience as a Non-Executive Director is not essential, an aptitude for strategic thinking and a real commitment to the work we do is. Our directors come from a variety of backgrounds. For this vacancy, we are particularly interested in applications from qualified accountants with senior level experience of governance, risk or assurance.

We strive to maintain a diverse and inclusive Board, comprising individuals who are able to make a real contribution to our organisation.

The position is remunerated and, typically, the commitment is the equivalent of 1.5 days per month.

The closing date for applications is midnight on Sunday 19 May 2019.

Interviews will be held in Didsbury, South Manchester on Friday 14 June 2019.
