Biffa welcomes Claire Miles to its Board as Non-Executive Director

– UK, High Wycombe –  Biffa plc (LON: BIFF), the UK’s leading sustainable waste management business, today announced the appointment of Claire Miles to its Board as a Non-Executive Director effective from 1 April 2021.

“I am delighted to welcome Claire to the Biffa Board. With a strong operational background and a wealth of digital and business transformation experience, Claire will be a valuable addition to the Board” said Board Chairman, Ken Lever.

Claire will also be a member of the Remuneration Committee from that date.

About Claire Miles

Claire is currently the CEO of Yell, the UK digital marketing services business. Before this, Claire was managing director of Centrica Hive Limited as part of a nine-year career at Centrica holding various general management and operational positions, including managing director of HomeCare, where she gained significant experience in customer service, digital and business transformation. Claire previously held executive leadership roles at General Electric and Santander and was a non-executive director at Northgate plc for four and a half years and member of its Remuneration Committee before stepping down from the Board following its merger with Redde.
