Bristol & Bath Parks Foundation - Trustees

The Bristol & Bath Parks Foundation is delighted to be working with Executive Search Firm Moon Consulting to recruit high-calibre individuals, who together will form a new charity board, called The Bristol & Bath Parks Foundation. As the charity’s official recruitment partner, Moon Consulting will help shape the future of this new Charity through the recruitment of a new board of trustees.

Why we need you

We want to hear from you if you have a passion for Bristol and Bath’s natural environment and want to work alongside various partners including the local councils, to add value to our public and green spaces. We need ambitious and well-connected people who are willing to develop relationships to help sustain the future of our parks within Bristol and Bath. This board will need a chair, treasurer and secretary along with a diverse board of trustees.

What will I be doing and what skills do I need?

This is a brand-new project, so you should ideally have experience of being a trustee, non-executive or senior manager. Have strong networking skills and a willingness to develop relationships to help secure funding from private individuals, trusts and companies.
We are looking for a range of experience and capabilities that would could include anyone from:

  • Commercial business
  • Professional services
  • Accountancy services
  • Marketing, PR, Event Management
  • Legal
  • Education and Training
  • Health and wellbeing
  • 3rd sector
  • Fundraising professionally or voluntary
  • Community engagement professional or voluntary

In terms of personal qualities, we are seeking to recruit confident, dynamic individuals who are willing to commit some time to seeing this project grow and develop from the beginning. You will need to have good strategic planning and organisational skills, a passion for, and an understanding of the charity and it’s aims. To use your business or community network to promote what the charity is looking to achieve. You will be ambitious, tenacious and not afraid to make ‘the ask’. You should also be approachable, flexible and able to work as part of a team, as that will be key to the Board’s success.
