The Company is enjoying a period of great success: participation is rising, membership is increasing, and our medal winning British Teams have never been so prolific. They are not an organisation that is content to stop there, and they have already started work to meet the new challenges and opportunities that they know are ahead of them.
An exciting opportunity exists has arisen for a Non-Executive Director who can offer guidance, support, expertise and an objective perspective on the key matters of strategy, governance, financial affairs and risk management.
It is an opportune time to join the Board which has recently undergone a strategy review. This has resulted in a greater focus on financial sustainability, the capacity of the sport with regard to coaches and spaces, talent development and improving perceived brand value from the perspective of our customers.
The Organisation is seeking applicants who have a varied range of skills and experience, including the ability to challenge in a constructive way, to be forward thinking and to be passionate about making a difference.
Whilst not essential, they would welcome applicants with athlete experience in any sport as well as applicants from diverse communities and backgrounds. What is also important is that you understand the value of diversity within the sport and particularly at board level and in the workplace.
If you believe you have the experience they are looking for, the Organisation would like to encourage you to apply for this position which will only require an investment of approximately 6 – 10 days annually. You will play a big part in helping them deliver a strategic plan that will build on their past success and further develop the sport, both within the UK and Internationally on the journey to Tokyo and beyond.
