Chair and Two Non-Executive Board members/Trustees - CIPD
The last year has been extraordinary for us all and HR professionals have been front and centre of their organisations dealing with the plethora of people issues faced as a result of the pandemic. The CIPD has risen to the challenge working with the profession and organisations more widely to provide guidance and support, influencing and adding value in the changing world in line with our purpose of championing better work and working lives.
There remain many challenges but this an exciting time for us and we are looking for a new Chair to lead the CIPD Board on the next phase of our strategic journey. We are also seeking two additional trustees to sit on the Board.
For the chair role you will ideally be a Fellow of the CIPD with senior level HR experience and have previously served on a senior decision-making body in any sector.
We are seeking trustees who have business acumen and the strategic capability to contribute to setting the future direction of the CIPD as we continue to transform. Experience of working at senior level either in or with SMEs and/or senior general management experience will be advantageous.
These are fantastic opportunities to gain or build on board experience and make a real contribution to shaping the future of the HR profession and work more broadly.
The roles, which are voluntary, are for a three-year term from April 2021. Time commitment will be approximately 2.5 days per month for the Chair position and 1 day per month for the trustee positions.
