Description

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides services at a 600 bedded General Hospital on the Countess of Chester Health Park, and a 70 bedded rehabilitation and intermediate Care Service at Ellesmere Port Hospital. We have an annual income of over £270 million and almost 4,000 dedicated staff providing a comprehensive range of high-quality medical services to more than 445,000 patients per year from an area covering Western Cheshire, Ellesmere Port, Neston, and North Wales.

We are now seeking to appoint a new Chair to lead our unitary board and our Council of Governors. An experienced and influential leader with a broad range of experience, you will demonstrate sound judgement, political acumen, and strategic influence that will bring focus and a fresh perspective to our aims as a significant public service organisation. We are seeking a values-driven, inspiring leader with some recent NHS Board experience probably in a Non-Executive capacity; an exceptional communicator who can quickly build personal credibility in a complex stakeholder environment. Able to articulate a clear vision, you will demonstrate a successful track record of leading complex, transformational change working across organisational boundaries. This is an excellent opportunity to use your energy, skills, and experience to make a lasting difference to the health and wellbeing of people served by our Trust now and in the future.
