Cruse Bereavement Care is the leading national charity for bereaved people in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. We offer support, advice and information to children, young people and adults when someone dies, and campaign to increase society’s care of bereaved people. Cruse Bereavement Care has been supporting bereaved people for over 60 years and at this time, with the impact of Covid-19 touching so many families and communities, our services are more in demand now than ever.

The Board of Trustees are seeking to appoint new Trustees to bring passion, commitment, energy and a breadth of knowledge and expertise to join a committed Board. With a new Chair at the helm and a transformative five-year strategy informed by our learning through the pandemic, this is an exciting time to be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation.

To complement the skills of existing Board members, we would be particularly interested in receiving applications from a diverse range of people with experience in the following areas:

  • HR / People
  • Digital transformation
  • Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI)
  • Fundraising

We are also seeking a Trustee who has financial expertise to join the Board, with a view to becoming Treasurer in 2021 when the current incumbent completes their term of office.

We are keen to speak to people with experience of creating diversity in their organisations.
