Non-Executive Director (trustee) - Dartmoor Multi-Academy Trust (MAT)

Dartmoor Multi Academy Trust have two vacancies for Directors (Trustees) with either professional Human Resources or Finance experience and skills and we would love to hear from you. This is a chance to be part of a diverse, dedicated and exciting team of Trustees where debate is lively but everyone is heard.
Our Trust, which was created in January 2018, consists of 16 schools who have come together, based on a shared vision which encompasses the values of the Cooperative movement and upholds the Christian distinctiveness of our Church schools. We are excited about the opportunities that such a cross phase Trust is able to offer our Dartmoor communities. We are committed to create an ambitious, forward thinking learning environment for all our pupils, students and staff. There will be opportunities for everyone connected to the Trust to grow and develop and therefore fulfil their ambitions.
Our Trustee Board is an enthusiastic, committed and friendly team who welcome a wide range of different skills and experiences to ensure that our continued development is as productive and creative as possible. Dan Morrow has recently joined the Trust as our new CEO, bringing with him a wealth of experience and passion for schools. Dan, a highly-regarded education leader with a national reputation, joins DMAT having previously been the Trust Leader and CEO for Woodland Academy Trust, an educational charity serving several thousand children in South East London. This is an exciting time in our journey and one that you could be a part of!

- a professional background in Human Resources.
- for the Financial role:- Essential - Have been involved in the setting of finance strategy - Have an understanding of the operational workings of a finance department - Have prepared or been the user of management accounting information - Have an understanding of maintaining a robust Balance Sheet
- Desirable - Experience of Finance in Education - Have experience of a multi academy trusts and potentially of GAG pooling.
- and for both roles, a passion for education and its power to transform young lives.
