    Unadvertised Private Sector Non-Executive Chairman role

    A Venture Capital client is about to acquire a specialist software company which provides cloud-based enterprise software and professional services to private brand retailers. The Midlands based company is rapidly growing with projected revenues approaching £3m with strong margins.

    As part of the transaction, the client is looking to appoint a Non-Executive Director with the following background:

    • Experience chairing SMEs
    • Experience of being involved in private equity backed companies, preferably as a non-executive director / Chairman
    • Experience of selling into senior decision makers
    • Preferably has experience of selling enterprise software products
    • Preferably has experience in the US
    • Preferably has some experience with private label manufacturing or similar
    • Ability to mentor management and manage strong personalities
    • Ability to help formulate the future strategy of the business and align it for an eventual exit
    • Successful track record of selling companies
    • On offer is a cash / equity package, and perhaps an opportunity to co-invest.
