If you are a candidate for the Non-Executive Director role, you’ll be appointed to four companies within the Group, as well as joining our Asset Investment Committee and the Board of Limehouse Developments Limited, our commercial development company. We’re looking for skills and experience in at least one of the following areas:

  • Commercial development and business growth, including building key strategic partnerships.
  • Understanding and appraisal of mixed-tenure new build development schemes.
  • Land acquisition for residential development, new build housing, sales and marketing

Those who wish to become an Independent Member of our Audit & Risk Committee will be qualified accountants (or have experience of the audit and risk function in a senior executive or non-executive role), and knowledge of corporate governance in a regulated sector would be an advantage. Strong candidates will have particular strengths in at least one of the following:

  • Strategic risk management, systems of internal control and assurance.
  • Internal and external audit functions.
  • Regulatory frameworks and compliance with statutory duties.

In either role, you’ll have a good understanding of the crucial importance of corporate governance in a regulated sector, and some knowledge and / or experience of housing associations would be a real asset. Above all, you’ll appreciate our values-driven approach, and will share not only our sense of social purpose, but also our conviction that running a great business is the best route to achieve it.
