You could play a part in addressing the inequalities that exist for people at the end of life. Work with us to stop many more people dying without getting the help and support they need at the time they need it the most.

Hospice UK, the national charity for death, dying and bereavement is seeking two new trustees.

Our vision is hospice care for every person in need. We believe that everyone, no matter who they are, where they are or why they are ill, should receive the best possible care at the end of their life.

No one should die in avoidable pain or suffering. We work to transform the way society cares for the dying and those around them.

To empower individuals, communities and populations to embrace the ethos of hospice care and reach out to improve everyone’s experience of death, dying and bereavement.

To ensure we have the necessary skills and expertise within our Board we are currently seeking to co-opt two trustees from outside of the hospice sector with skills and expertise in either or both of the following:

  • A CCAB qualification and a working knowledge of charity SORP and knowledge and experience of charity finance/audit
  • Commercial experience and expertise and willingness to utilise networks to support Hospice UK’s income generation
  • You will identify with our vision and be willing to commit your time and expertise to help us achieve that. If you are able to make that commitment and have the expertise and skills we need please get in touch.

Hospice UK values equality and diversity and strives to be inclusive. We recognise the benefit and value of having people from a range of backgrounds, heritages, ages, experiences and skills in our organisation.

We particularly welcome applicants from people with disabilities, Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds and LGBT+ who are currently underrepresented on our board.
