Housing Plus Group is a Charitable Community Benefit Society providing homes and a range of care services across Shropshire and Staffordshire. As one of the largest housing providers in the area, we manage 18,000 homes, have an annual turnover of almost £100m and employ more than 800 people. Following our merger with Stafford and Rural Homes last year it’s an exciting and very positive time for us as we have created a new housing, care and property group which has considerable influence and potential.

Investing in our communities and our people remains a key priority and by 2023 we will have started work on 2,000 new homes, increased our apprentices to 100 and grown our care business by one third, whilst ensuring that we achieve the highest standards of property compliance and service delivery. Our new Corporate plan is focussed on ‘Making a Positive Difference to Homes, Lives and Communities’; ensuring that these objectives are supported by a strong and resilient Group of companies.

We are now looking for an exceptional and inspirational Chair who will bring to us a blend of professional and strategic skills to lead our Board and ensure that we achieve our many ambitions. With experience of a regulated environment, you’ll appreciate our desire to balance running a group of commercial businesses; to support thriving neighbourhoods and the importance of the positive changes and growth plans we’re actively delivering. As our new Chair, you’ll demonstrate considerable energy, a focus on high-performance and a determination to ensure that we provide the best possible outcomes for our communities.

If you’re passionate about our vision, share our ambitions and can bring strong leadership and commercial credentials to our Board, then please click on the 'Continue to full details and application' link for further information.
