Merlin has ambitious plans. Our vision is to be a world class organisation providing homes in communities people aspire to live in. At the start of 2015 we launched our new four year Corporate Plan with a clear vision and ambitious targets to improve our surpluses to enable us to invest in nearly 1,000 new homes by 2019, whilst improving customer satisfaction too. Eighteen months on the world has changed but our vision and core business remains the same.
We are looking for a new Non-Executive Director to join our Board to ensure our corporate objectives are met.
If you have senior level experience of strategic leadership and financial strategy or housing development, (particularly in the commercial or private sector) this will be an ideal opportunity for you to extend your experience by joining our Board.
A specific knowledge of the housing sector is not required but a commitment to Merlin’s values and vision will be essential.
We are particularly interested to hear from individuals who have private sector experience of large volume house building and who can bring particular skills in one of the following areas:
- Joint ventures or alternative approaches to development procurement
- Land acquisition
- Commercial sales
We require Non-Executive Directors to attend up to 12 meetings a year (this could be higher depending on task and finish group).
