Trustee - Musical Boroughs Trust
Organisation: Musical Boroughs Trust
Reference: YP volunteers
Vacancy Type: Trustee
Deadline: 4th October 2019
Musical Boroughs Trust is a new Charitable Incorporated Organisation (Foundation), registered charity no. 1183585.
Are you passionate about music, education and social impact? Musical Boroughs Trust (MBT) is a new nonprofit active in Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea, and Westminster - we're looking for local people with fresh ideas to join our board, helping us grow, and to represent our communities.
Did you know that the average age of a charity trustee is 61, and only 0.5% of the trustee population in England & Wales is aged 18-24%? Trustees are split 64:36 male to female, and more than half of the charities in England & Wales do not have trustees from a black, Asian or minority ethnic (BAME) background.
We are keen to reflect more accurately our local communities through our board trustees.
We are seeking trustees in the following roles:
- Young people aged 18-25 (2 vacancies)
The charity believes that everyone deserves the chance to cultivate a love of music and realise their musical potential whilst developing their personal and social identity.
As a charity Musical Boroughs Trust will be able to approach Trusts and Foundations, companies, philanthropists and members of the public to bring in extra money for music education activities aimed particularly to benefit disadvantaged communities in the local area.
To express interest and for further information please contact Jonathan Chambers at the Tri-borough Music Hub - the closing date is 4 October 2019.
