2 Non-Executive Directors – New Housing Association
Two Non-Executive Directors are required for a Housing Association which will be formed to develop and manage affordable properties required by Section 106 agreements made by its parent company.
The parent company has been involved in property development and investment for the past forty five years, primarily in the residential sector, in both the West Midlands and London areas.
After constructive discussions with the Senior Registrations Adviser at the Regulator of Social Housing, the parent company will shortly make a Preliminary Application for registration.
The new Association would initially be small, encompassing probably between 5 and ten properties, and then an additional similar number every year. Most would be in the Midlands.
This is an exciting opportunity for two experienced Non-Executive Directors to join the board at the beginning of the new Association’s journey
We envisage the two NEDs we require would:
- possess experience either in the management, or on the board of, a Housing Association, social housing or local authority.
- come from a similar, but specifically legal or compliance background.
The two successful candidates would join an experienced board engaged in the management of the new Housing Association, possessing the necessary construction, land and building management expertise.
The Chair of the new board has significant experience of the social and public sector, having served for ten years on Birmingham City Council, followed by ten years in Parliament, part of this in government.
