NTW Solutions Limited is a newly established private company, wholly owned by Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust, which provides the Trust with estates, facilities, procurement and some financial and workforce services. It employs around 600 staff and has the potential to increase the range of services that it provides to the Trust and other organisations.

We are seeking an additional non-executive director to join our small four person Board.
Following our establishment in April 2017, we have continued to provide high level support services to the Trust. Our turnover in 2017/18 was almost £34 million and we have subsequently grown, taking on the provision of car leasing, digital dictation and outpatient pharmacy dispensing services to the Trust.
You will provide independent judgement and advice on issues of strategy, financial and service performance, business development and governance. We have a remit to develop a more commercial focus and we are at an exciting stage of our company development as we foresee new business opportunities, using the skills of our staff teams to provide services to other organisations.
We are therefore looking in particular for someone with commercial acumen, who has developed their skills working in a senior position in a large organisation. Ideally this would be in property / facilities management, customer business services or with experience of leading on sales strategy and tenders. Prior experience of working in the NHS is not required.

PLEASE NOTE it is a requirement of NTW Solutions that all successful applicants pay for their DBS certificate if a check is required for the post. The cost of this DBS certificate will be taken through a deduction from your monthly pay over a period of up to three months. NTW Solutions also require that that all post holders who require a DBS for their role subscribe to the DBS Update Service. You will be required to enrol for this service for an annual fee of £13 per year and maintain registration.
In view of recent changes to Home Office Immigration Regulations all applicants must state their current immigration status, including expiry dates.
