The people we support and their families are at the heart of everything we do and we want every person we support to have a great life. We are a financially resilient organisation, operating in the challenging but rewarding Social Care sector and currently improving the lives of 3,500 people.
The people we support are central to our existence and as such we are focussed on doing all that we can to ensure their safety and well-being. Sadly, there have been far too many well publicised incidents over the years where people with a learning disability or autism have not been treated with the respect they deserve. Our systems and processes are recognised as being excellent, our governance is strong and the organisational focus on safeguarding is entrenched. Our Safeguarding Panel Chair, who is due to step down after a successful tenure of 6 years, offers scrutiny, guidance and support across the whole group, building trusted relationships with colleagues in operations, on the executive team and on the Board, promoting internally the purpose and role of the Safeguarding Panel. In line with Safeguarding legislation and best practice guidelines, the Safeguarding Panel Chair will help to ensure that as an organisation we continue to learn from and mitigate risk. They will review the performance of the Panel against its purpose, capacity and effectiveness.
We are interested in applications from Safeguarding specialists with a proven ability to operate at both senior strategic and operational levels. We are open to sector and background as what’s more important is an in depth understanding of Safeguarding vulnerable people as well as a proven ability to Chair meetings. You will bring a fresh perspective to a well established and crucial function. Most importantly you will share our values and drive to help improve life opportunities for the people we support.
At Dimensions we are committed to providing equal opportunities for everyone, regardless of background. We value diversity on our board and would particularly encourage applications from
