Founded in 2000, CDP is an outstanding, international, not-for-profit organisation that is the only global disclosure system for companies, cities, states and regions to measure, disclose, manage and share vital information on their environmental performance and for investors or purchasers to access environmental information for use in financial decisions.
Voted the number one climate research provider by investors, we work with 800 institutional investors with assets of US$100 trillion, and 89 purchasing organizations with a combined annual spend of over US$2.7 trillion, to motivate companies to disclose their impacts on the environment and natural resources, and take action to reduce them. New Trustees may come with experience from a range of different sectors or professions and we are particularly interested in candidates in one or more of the following areas: Senior network amongst leaders in large and mid-cap international corporates or the institutional investor community; experience of fundraising and growing income in not-for-profit organisations; Governmental and supranational policy and grant-funding; senior experience and understanding of growing membership in a commercially-focused, membership organisation; experience of complex data management, its effective dissemination and successful commercialisation or significant and compelling experience of marketing, PR and corporate brand development.
