Job type: Permanent
Client: Stonewater Housing Association Ltd
Stonewater is proud to be one of the UK’s leading social housing providers, with a mission to deliver good quality affordable homes to people who need them most.
We’re a dynamic, ambitious organisation looking for a new Chair to help lead us on the next stage of our transformational journey.
Through our progressive development programme we are committed to delivering more homes to help address the housing crisis, and we will provide at least 2,800 new homes by March 2022, adding to our current portfolio of over 31,500 homes in England, for more than 65,000 customers. We offer affordable properties for general rent, shared ownership and sale, and are also deeply committed to providing specialist accommodation such as retirement and supported living schemes for older and vulnerable people, foyers and women’s refuges.
Our business is shaped around three themes: customer experience, growth & influence and business excellence. We have over 650 employees who live our values of being ethical, ambitious, passionate, agile and commercial – and share our vision ‘for everyone to have the opportunity to have a place that they can call home’’.
With an annual turnover of around £187 million and £1.7 billion in assets, Stonewater is a strong, dynamic and well-managed social business, with a long-term rating of A+ by independent credit ratings agency, S&P Global Ratings and a top G1/V1 governance and viability ranking from the Regulator of Social Housing.
We are looking for a new Chair who can bring a unique blend of strategic skills and social purpose to lead our Board. We are particularly interested in attracting individuals with diverse backgrounds and experience of working at Board level within a sector facing significant change and challenges.
If you are passionate about our vision, share our ambition and can bring a strong commercial outlook to our Board, then we would love to hear from you.
