The Scout Association is a remarkable organisation, the biggest mixed movement in the UK, helping over 462,000 young people from all walks of life play their part, speak up, realise their potential and stand out. Our social action campaign, A Million Hands, has enabled over 200,000 young people to make a positive contribution in their local communities, helping us become one of the best known and most trusted charities in the UK. Now we want to go further.

To assist us with our ambitious plans, we are looking for a new Treasurer.

Your role will be to maintain an overview of the organisation’s affairs, ensure its financial viability and help lead the organisation through a period of positive change. For this pivotal position, we are looking for someone who isn’t afraid to ask the big questions, take a close look at our numbers and help even more young people gain skills for life. Level-headed, calm under pressure and with senior level experience, you will bring a breadth of vision and a strong grasp of complex governance issues. We are a dynamic organisation. You will need to demonstrate a track record of enabling organisational transition and the management of change. The chance to bring a high degree of commercial expertise to the organisation and leverage one of the world’s most recognisable brands to develop revenue streams will be an opportunity that excites you.

You will be joining an excellent, committed Board. You will bring integrity, good humour and the intellectual versatility to add collaboratively to an already exciting debate.
