HSBEIL, part of Munich Re, is the UK’s only sole specialist provider of engineering and construction insurance and inspection services. With a focus on the SME and middle market commercial sectors, the company requires both an independent Chair and an independent Chair of Finance & Audit to oversee its ambitious five-year growth programme.

As Chair, you’ll govern the workings of the board, providing leadership and influence. Both roles will work closely with the Managing Director and Finance Director to facilitate achieving strategic goals and ensure regulatory compliance.

Having successfully chaired at senior level, the Chair will have experience of financial services and complex corporate structures. The Chair of Finance & Audit will hold a recognised financial qualification and, most likely, Approved Person status.

With solid experience in expanding B2B operations, you’ll have a pragmatic approach that appreciates the scale of the organisation and its position within the wider corporate structure of its global parent.

As Chair, you’ll take an initial four-year term of office (three years for the Chair of Audit and Finance), potentially renewable for a further three-year term.
