Independent Chair for the Acute Sustainability Programme Board

The opportunity

Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust (ESTH) has identified significant issues with the Trust’s clinical and financial sustainability as well as the condition of its estate across both hospital sites. It has recently engaged the public on these issues and developed a Strategic Outline Case (SOC) which has been submitted to NHSI for consideration.

Merton, Sutton and Surrey Downs CCGs, with the support of ESTH and regulators, plan to establish a Joint Programme Board to take forward the work required to consider the outcome of the recent engagement work and SOC produced by the Trust and determine the potential solutions to the challenges that have been identified.
