£13,000 per annum with a possible additional allowance of £2,000 should you take on one of a small number of designated Board roles.
The total time commitment averages approximately 4 to 5 days per month, starting on or around 1st January 2021
County Durham and Darlington Foundation Trust serves around 600,000 people living in County Durham and the surrounding areas.The Trust provides a comprehensive range of acute and community based services across two acute hospitals, community hospitals and numerous community bases.
Already a high performing Trust, we are investing in improvements in facilities and service developments, along integrated pathways focusing on patients’ outcomes and experiences. We are looking to strengthen our non-executive team with the appointment of an exceptional candidate living in County Durham, Darlington or the surrounding areas.
If your temperament, ability and experience enable you to work at board level, and you can offer a breadth of relevant skills and experience, we can offer an excellent opportunity to use your talents to make a positive difference to the lives of people in your community. The successful candidate will serve on our Audit Committee; we are therefore seeking, in particular, candidates – who reside in or near our catchment area - with recent and relevant financial experience, and complementary skills in areas such as audit, risk and governance.
The Board is also seeking to prioritise strong skills in public/stakeholder engagement. You will need to have the credibility to constructively challenge senior managers and be able work collaboratively within and beyond the Trust to help develop and deliver our strategic plans.
