IWM tells the stories of people who have lived, fought and died in conflicts involving Britain and the Commonwealth since 1914. Through the powerful stories and experiences in our unique collections, we challenge people to look at war and conflict from different perspectives.
Appointment of two Trustees
IWM’s Board of Trustees has collective corporate responsibility for the general management and control of the Museum and its use of public funds. We are currently seeking to appoint two Trustees with broad experience of foreign affairs, international relations or international security, who will have had substantial exposure, at a senior level, to the field of international affairs.
Trustees are appointed in accordance with the process regulated by the Commissioner for Public Appointments. Further details of these vacancies and how to apply can be found on the Centre for Public Appointments website
These appointments will be made by the Foreign Secretary.
Applications are welcomed from a diverse range of backgrounds and experience from candidates who believe they can make an effective contribution to IWM and our Board. The position is not salaried but reasonable expenses will be paid.
