Role Description

Now that FFCC has become an independent charitable organisation, funded by Esmee Fairbairn Foundation, we want to strengthen our Board arrangements. We are looking for two more Non-Executive Directors to join Dr Marg Mayne, our Treasurer and iNED.

Ideally you will have a background in or appreciation of one or more of the following: charity and/or corporate governance, law, fundraising, advocacy, government relations, people and culture, and of curse, a real enthusiasm for our mission and purpose.

FFCC Ltd currently comprises a Board of five Trustees, chaired by Sir Ian Cheshire, who provide oversight and governance to the work of the Commission. Our 15 Commissioners, who are constituted as one of the committees of the Board (along with Audit and Risk, and People and Culture) drive and direct the work of the charity.

We operate as a national, networked organisation. Board meetings take place four times a year (plus Audit and Risk, and People and Culture meetings) and will remain virtual for the foreseeable future.
