Chair - The Caroline Walker Trust
The Caroline Walker Trust is looking for a Chair of Trustees to join a small charitable Trust. I was wondering if anyone here would like to consider this worthwhile opportunity to extend their experience and to help those affected by poor health as a result of poverty and insufficient or poor quality food.
The Trust was established in 1989 and named after the famous food campaigner Caroline Walker. www.cwt.org.uk
Its charitable object is to promote public health and to protect the quality of food for the public benefit in the UK. We are seeking someone with experience of chairing a board, preferably from health or charitable sector.
The time commitment is 4 - 6 x 2 hr meetings per year, with ad-hoc subcommittee meetings on strategy and marketing. Expenses will be paid.
If you feel you might be in a position to add value to a small charity by providing some leadership and governance expertise, then please contact me on [email protected] and I'll send the Chair of Trustee Role, Responsibilities and Person Spec.
