Role Description

The Government Actuary’s Department (GAD) is a non-ministerial government department whose mission is to improve the stewardship of public sector finances by supporting effective decision-making and robust financial reporting through actuarial analysis, modelling and advice.

We are seeking to appoint a Non-Executive Director (NED) to join our Management Board and support the Chair and executive team in advising the Government Actuary. We are looking for an exceptional individual with senior leadership experience within the private and/or public sector, to provide expert advice and bring a valuable external perspective to the department.

As a NED you will play a key role in supporting and constructively challenging executive members of the GAD Management Board, to guide and direct the governance process in alignment with GAD’s mission, vision and strategic direction.
