Help deliver the Mayor’s vision to transform part of east London.
This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in improving lives in London’s diverse communities. The London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) has an exciting vision for the future, building on the legacy of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
We are regenerating the area around the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, creating a dynamic new metropolitan centre for the capital city. Work is well underway on a far-reaching plan, including new homes, public spaces and social infrastructure. From living and recreation spaces, to culture and education, as a Board Member you will help us develop an inspiring, innovative place where people want to live, work and visit.
You will bring entrepreneurial flair and a proven track record in property development. Whether your background is in residential or commercial development, in the public, private or voluntary sector, you will have led and delivered a range of successful property projects. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, together with a commitment to diversity and equality, public service values and the principles of public life.
As a Board Member, you will help to shape economic growth strategy and urban place making in London’s new metropolitan heart. As a regeneration agency we have a major part to place in London and the UK’s recovery from Covid-19. You will be instrumental in catalysing growth and attracting inward investment to a cluster of places around the Olympic Park including the opportunities that come with development of East Bank – the largest and most ambitious cultural and education district in a generation. With your fellow Board Members, you will share responsibility for setting strategy direction and policy for our programme of transformation. You will provide vital leadership, support, oversight, scrutiny, performance monitoring and corporate governance. A successful, sustainable future will be your legacy.
