The Bon Accord Care Group of Companies, an arms length trading company wholly owned by Aberdeen City Council are seeking to appoint up to two Non-Executive Directors to the Board to develop and lead the company and to maximise the opportunities that a local authority trading company can create.

You will support the Chair and Board in its governance and scrutiny role by overseeing the strategic business plan, challenging and developing strategy. You will ensure compliance with financial regulations and legislation and scrutinise management performance. You will provide entrepreneurial leadership and objective advice within a framework of prudent and effective controls enabling risk to be assessed and managed.

You must have high level governance and commercial/political, financial, and /or social care experience. You will have strategic planning/financial risk/performance management expertise gained in the public, private or voluntary sector and financial and/or commercial management experience gained at a senior level.

These posts attract an allowance of £400 per day (plus reasonable expenses incurred will be reimbursed in line with Bon Accord Care Ltd’s expenses policy).
