NOW: Pensions is a leading UK workplace pension provider. We look after the pension savings of nearly 2m members and tens of thousands of employers from a wide range of industry sectors. We have around £2bn of assets under management.

We have a clear mission – to help our members save for a more financially secure future. This means achieving the best financial outcomes for our own members, but also playing our part in ensuring that all pension savers get the retirement they deserve. We do this by highlighting pension inequalities and campaigning for change.

NOW: Pension Trustee Limited is looking for an exceptional individual to join its Board. Successful candidates will bring additional insight and experience to the Board, especially with regards to scheme administration, systems and processes. You will join a small and dynamic Board at an exciting time as we work within the new supervisory regime and deliver auto-enrolment.

We are seeking an individual with a demonstrable track record of achievement in pension fund administration.

Experience should include but not be limited to:

  • Managing third party administrators.
  • Experience of DC pension administration.
  • Knowledge of administration systems and processes would be a great advantage.
  • Expertise in member engagement / communications and DC scheme or master trust governance are desirable.

This role will suit someone who has had a career as a senior pension scheme manager or at a senior level in a third-party administration provider, this will likely include previous experience as a NED or as a trustee of a large complex DC scheme. The successful candidate will possess the gravitas and leadership qualities that will support them in making a significant contribution to an experienced Board.

The postholder will also be required to meet the ‘Fit and Proper Person’ criteria set out by The Pensions Regulator (and required for all trustees of authorised master trusts) and will have obtained, or be expected to obtain, accreditation as a professional trustee under one of the recognised accreditation routes.

Time commitment is expected to be around 40 days a year.
